"CommonBond Social Impact Award" Contest

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. OPEN TO LEGAL U.S. RESIDENTS.

CAST YOUR VOTES BETWEEN JUNE 3RD AT 12:01AM EST AND JULY 1ST AT 11:59 EST. 

THREE (3) FINALISTS WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE VOTING PUBLIC.

The "CommonBond Social Impact Award" ("Contest") is sponsored by CommonBond, Inc. ("Sponsor"), located at 524 Broadway, 6th floor, New York, NY, 10012.

1) NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Any purchase or payment will not improve the likelihood of winning. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

2) Eligibility. Contest is open to Title IV undergraduate students who are legal residents of the U.S., including students residing in the U.S. on a student visa, 18 years of age or older. Employees of Sponsor and its owners, officers, directors, employees and agents ("Sponsor Entities") and their immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son or spouse), regardless of where they live; or persons who reside in the same household, whether related or not, are not eligible.

3) CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD. The Contest will begin on June 15th at 12:01 A.M. Eastern Standard Time ("EST") and ends the last day of the month, July 1st at 11:59 P.M. EST ("Contest Period"). All times to be determined by Sponsor's clock.

4) CONTEST ENTRY. Persons who meet the eligibility requirements and have read and accepted the Official Rules are eligible through selection by the CommonBond staff after completing the application prompt emailed to them by CommonBond. Videos created by semifinalists must be submitted to CommonBond by the date outlined in official email to be eligible for the contest. The public will cast votes on the videos during the contest entry period. Voters must submit no more than one (1) entry during the contest period. Votes must be received by CommonBond before July 1 at 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).  Maximum of one (1) entry per person. Should more than one (1) entry per person be received, Sponsor reserves the right to void all such entries. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected or scrambled votes. Incomplete entries will not be accepted. Entries may be posted on Sponsor's Website, the CommonBond Blog or other channels for media or marketing or any other reason, and entrants consent to such posting.

5) Selection of Winner. Three (3) finalists will be selected by the CommonBond staff based on the top three videos that receive the most votes. 

By participating, entrants agree that the decisions of Sponsor or the judges are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned.

6) Prize. Three (3) finalists will be flown to NYC to participate in the CommonBond Social Impact Award pitch competition taking place at CommonBond headquarters, 524 Broadway, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10012. 

7) Notification of Finalists. Prospective finalists will be notified by email; they may sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and, where lawful, a Publicity Release, each within 2 days of notification, or prize may be forfeited and an alternate finalist selected. By accepting a prize, finalist agrees that Sponsor Entities will have no liability or responsibility for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession or use of the prize; finalists will hold Sponsor Entities harmless against any claims of liability arising directly or indirectly from the Contest or prize; Sponsor may post the finalist's name and the winning entry on Sponsor's Website, the CommonBond Blog or other channels for media or marketing or any other reason; and, where lawful, Sponsor Entities may use finalist's name, the winning entry, and statements attributed to finalists (if true), for publication, advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.

8) PRIVACY. Except as otherwise stated in these Official Rules, any personal information collected in connection with this Contest will be used in accordance with Sponsor's Privacy Policy at https://commonbond.co/privacy-policy. Without limiting the Privacy Policy, entry in this Contest constitutes consent to the Privacy Policy; to posting of winner's name and the winning entry; to receipt of email, mail and other communications about this Contest; and to receipt of email communications from Sponsor from time to time about this Contest and/or about other promotions, with the right to opt-out of future emails.

9) RELEASE & OTHER CONDITIONS. By participating in the Contest, entrants agree (a) that Sponsor Entities have no liability or responsibility and are hereby released from any liability or responsibility for any injuries, death, loss or damage to persons or property of any kind resulting from or related to the Contest, entrant's entries, the prize or acceptance, possession or use of the entries or prize; and (b) to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor Entities from and against any claims of liability arising directly or indirectly from or related to the Contest, entrant's entries, the prize or acceptance, possession or use of the entries or prize, including without limitation any claims of infringement, misappropriation of violations of intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual or other rights. Where lawful, Sponsor Entities may use winner's name, winning entry, location where winning entry was photographed and statements attributed to winner (if true), for publication, advertising and promotional purposes, without further consideration

10) Administration of Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for any computer or human error or interference which compromises the administration or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or modify the Contest. All decisions of Sponsor are final.

11) DISPUTES. This Contest is governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to conflict of law principles, and the sole and exclusive forum and venue for any dispute shall be in New York, New York, except as to matters relating to individual arbitration, which shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. You have no right or authority for any dispute to be litigated on a class action basis or to utilize class action procedures. Any arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association and will take place in New York, New York. The remedy for any claim shall be limited to actual damages, and in no event shall any party be entitled to recover punitive, exemplary, consequential, or incidental damages, including attorney's fees or other costs related to bringing a claim, or to rescind agreement to these Official Rules or seek injunctive or any other equitable relief arising out of or related to this Contest.

12) COPIES OF OFFICIAL RULES AND WINNER'S LIST. For a copy of these Official Rules or finalists’ names, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your request to CommBond Social Impact Award, CommonBond, Inc., 524 Broadway, 6th floor, New York, NY 10012. Vermont residents may omit return postage. The semifinalist list will be available at the conclusion of the entry period. These Official Rules and semifinalists’ names may be posted at Sponsor's Website, the CommonBond Blog or other social media channels.
